What is OER?

Open educational resources (OER) are typically resources for teaching or learning that are either openly available on the web or are available under a license that allows them to be used, changed, or shared with others without any associated fees.

The term OER may refer to anything from a video or image to a complete learning module or course. Though most OER are single resources, many educators are now seeing the value of organized “playlists” or curated collections of maintained content such as the Content Collection offered by Knovation.
